Preparation
Before washing your velvet durag, ensure you have the necessary materials:

Lay out a clean, dry towel and place the durag flat on it. You can then roll the towel with the durag inside to absorb more water. Unroll the towel and leave the durag laid flat to air dry. Do not use a dryer as the heat can damage the velvet.
Step 8: Air Dry
Finally, place the durag in a well-ventilated area to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight as it can fade the fabric. Do not hang the durag, as this could stretch the fabric. Instead, lay it flat to preserve its shape.
